Deb and Philip first met in Boston, Massachusetts as members of Urban Improv (www.urbanimprov.com). This talented group of actors and musicians worked, and continue to work, with children who must cope with growing up in an urban environment. Deb and Philip left Boston to pursue their individual professional careers, but reunited in Los Angeles. The discovery that neither had lost the passion for wanting to help children led to the creation of PbnDeb.

Deb Snyder and Philip Bynoe, as PBnDeb, use personal childhood experiences, vivid imagination and musical creativity to write original songs dealing with the everyday issues and joys of childhood.

They completed their first album, “Growing Up” in 2006, a songwriter’s compilation.  Using a contemporary musical genre, PBnDeb’s songs show children they are not alone when dealing with problems such as shyness, bullying or entering a new school. In “Bully,” Deb recalls a situation with a bunch of girls surrounding her and calling her “Chicken.”   In “Fight Fight” Philip remembers exiting from a movie theater and the fight that broke out.   “Taylor” is a young girl excited about entering Junior High School.  This CD is useful for parents, teachers and other adults in generating discussion, interaction, and problem solving as children face the challenges of growing up.

Their second album “Zoo Dance” released in 2008, is an interactive pop record enjoyed by kids from one to six along with their parents and teachers.  This CD encourages singing, movement, thought and learning.   What hops around with ears that touch the ground?  Find out in “Hippity, Happity, Hoppity!”   Tub time is no fun time?  Yellow Rubber Ducky Dance changes that.  Want to learn about animals?  Zoo Dance will have your child roaring like a lion, swinging like a monkey and catching fish like a penguin!  The music invites all who listen to sing, dance, act and even count bugs... loudly.

Join our band and loudly sing along!
We mean loud LIKE THIS OK?
Let’s have a silly song filled day.

At a recent concert the word “Again!” was the repeated shout from the young audience. What could be a better review of the delightful songs contained in this album than this word-of-mouth response.
